Head Coach: E.M Tipton (First Season)
Overall Record: 2-3
The 1919 season began with the hiring of the Lions' third head coach in program history; E.M. Tipton. Tipton would lead A&M-Commerce to a 2-3 record in 1919. The "Cagers" would start their season well with an 11-8 victory over Dallas University, but Terrell would overcome the Lions in the second game by just two points, 15-13. The only other win of the season also came against Dallas Baptist, a 23-12 blowout. Sam Houston ended the season by handing the Lions two losses, 29-22 and 36-16.
