Head Coach: Will Hill Acker (third Season)
Overall Record: 46-19

Acker's third season as head coach of A&M-Commerce Lion Basketball was once again a success. The Lions strung together a nine-game win streak in the middle of the season, devouring Southeastern Oklahoma, Stephen F. Austin, Sam Houston State (twice), Texas State, A&M-Kingsville, Howard Payne (twice), and North Texas. West Texas A&M remained a thorn in the Lions' paws though, defeating A&M-Commerce in two out of their three meetings in 1929. The Lions' first matchup against A&M-Kingsville ended in a victory
for A&M-Commerce, 39-20. The Lions would continue to dominate the Javelinas for the next 30 years, a 14-0 streak.
