Head Coach: J.V. Sikes (Second Season)
Overall Record: 15-26, 10-10 LSC
First Team All-LSC
Flernoy Dean
M.A. Smith
Second Team All-LSC
Odell Sikes
Sikes' second season suffered through the sophomore slumps. The Lions lost their first seven games, and though a double-header against Trinity brought a brief respite, the losses continued to stack up against Texas State, Sam Houston State (twice), and Stephen F. Austin. The Lions did manage to sweep North Texas and Trinity in LSC competition, and also beat Texas State once. They finished with a 5-12 overall record, and 5-5 in LSC competition.
Despite the less-than-stellar team play for the Lions, Flernoy Dean got consecutive First Team All-LSC venerations, and M.A. Smith moved up from the Second Team to the First Team in 1932. Odell Sikes earned consecutive Second Team listings.
