Overall Record: 78-45, 30-16 LSC
World War II shortened the 1942-43 season, which was one of the worst in Coach Vinzant's tenure. The Lions lost games to SMU (twice), Texas State, East Central, North Texas (twice), Baylor, and Stephen F. Austin. A&M-Commerce won just four games overall, and just two in conference play. Despite the less-than-stellar season, Coach Vinzant's squad still finished third in the LSC.
No Lions earned any individual awards in 1942.
