Tommy Parris
Pilgrim's second season started out well with wins over Northwestern State (Louisiana) and Austin College, but then the Lions hit a series of peaks and valleys, never playing very consistently until the final six games of the season, which A&M-Commerce dominated. The Lions finished with a 15-10 record (9-5 LSC), tying for second place in the LSC, which wasn?t quite good enough to earn a spot in the playoffs.
A.C. Black and Tommy Parris led the Lions in total points with 274 each. Black led in points per game, having played one less game than Parris, averaging 11.42 ppg. Black also had the most made field goals with 105. Noel Fain led in rebounds with 178, though Parris almost captured this title with 177.
Parris's accomplishments helped him secure the university?s only individual award that season, a Second Team All-LSC nod.
