Second Team All-LSC
Mike Williams
The Lions regressed significantly in Gudger's eleventh year, winning just nine games and just two in the LSC, the worst conference performance since 1967. The season began with a four-game win streak, but then it got really tough after that. Texas A&M took down the Lions 85-42, and Dallas Baptist conquered them 81-67. It took overtime games to beat Lubbock Christian and Texas Lutheran, and then the losses quickly started to outnumber the wins. A five-game losing streak was followed by one win, and then ei
ght losses. The season ended in the first round of the LSC tournament, a loss to Howard Payne.
Mike Williams still managed to break the 500-point ceiling with 522 points, and he led in rebounds with 239. Leatris Simmons dealt out the most assists with 89, and Williams led in steals with 36. Henry Battle led in blocks with 23.
Williams earned a spot on the Second Team All-LSC.
