LSC Freshman of the Year
Erik Pinter

The sophomore slumps hit Coach Peak hard in 1992. The Lions won just 3 games out of 29, and went 2-10 in the LSC. This was the worst performance by an A&M-Commerce basketball team since 1985, and the fewest wins since 1944. The Lions lost their first 14 games, including a 107-60 beat down by Missouri Western. Their first win finally came in their 15th game, a 76-54 win over New Mexico Highlands. A seven-game losing streak followed before their second and third wins, and then the Lions would lose their fin
al four games, including a 76-72 loss to Cameron in the LSC tournament.

Tim Cleveland led the Lions in scoring with 338 points. Erik Pinter was the rebound leader, pulling in 171 boards. Jimmy Foster dealt out 70 assists, and Jason Hall led in blocks with 15 and steals with 36.

Erik Pinter was named the LSC Freshman of the Year.
