Third in the Lone Star Conference North
Head Coach: Sam Walker (7th Season)
Overall Record: 114-86, 44-40 LSC

First Team All-LSC
Lamar Searight

Honorable Mention All-LSC
Bobby Joshua
Champ Sylvester
Kevin Widemond

The Lions took a step backward in 2006, finishing 14-14 (7-5 LSC). The out-of-conference schedule was quite difficult for A&M-Commerce in 2006; the Lions set a 7-8 mark. Their 1-5 road record in non-conference games was a large part of the problem. The traveling woes continued into the conference schedule with a 2-4 mark in road games against LSC opponents. Thankfully the friendly confines of the Field House proved to be a huge advantage in 2006; the Lions finished 5-1 at home in LSC play. The Lions lost
in the first round of the LSC tournament to West Texas A&M 82-80.

The scoring title went to Lamar Searight in 2006 thanks to Searigh's 431 total points. Searight also led in assists (109) and steals (49). Bobby Joshua was the rebound leader with 157, and led in blocks with 26.

Searight was a First Team All-LSC honoree, and Joshua, Champ Sylvester, and Kevin Widemond were all Honorable Mentions.
