LSC Champions + NCAA Regional Semifinalists
The program's second year under Neil Piper proved to be the most successful season to that point by far. Not only did A&M-Commerce make the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history, they went all the way to the Elite Eight eventually falling to Cal Poly Pomona by a score of 2-1. Not only that, the Lions won their first LSC Championship, as well as an LSC Regular Season Championship. The Lions would ultimately finish with a 16-4-1 record, with a dominant 7-1-1 record against LSC opponents durin
g the regular season.
Six Lions saw the field in all 21 of the team's contests: Erin Adamson, Sherri Konlande, Stacy Carr, Irene Yanez, Laurie Knapp and Sarah Fagan. Adamson was the most prolific goal-scorer with 14, while Konlande reprised her usual role of setup artist, assisting on 17 scores which set the LSC Record for years to come.. In her debut season as starter, Sarah Fagan made a whopping 121 saves and 11 shutouts for a 0.63 GAA and a .896 save percentage on 2028 minutes played.
