Eighth Season (103-42-13 Overall; 43-18-5 LSC)
LSC Quarterfinalists
In his eighth year, Neil Piper led the Lions to a 11-5-3 overall record, going 5-2-2 in conference over the course of the regular season. Following their lowest point of the season, a six-game winless streak toward the middle of the slate, the Lions kicked their losing habit emphatically with a 10-0 win at home over East Central. In the LSC Tournament, the Lions drew the Texas Woman's Pioneers, where they played to a 2-2 tie. TWU advanced on PKs, with Central Oklahoma eventually emerging as LSC Champions.
Erin de Wolfe closed out her senior campaign by setting the LSC record for assists in a game (5), assists in a season (0.83 APG) and assists in a career (0.62 APG), both of which continued to stand for years afterword. She was also the leader in goals that year for the Lions with 11. Five Lions -Melissa DoRemus, Jessica Pierce, Melissa Arnold, Haylee Williams and Kensley Apetz- saw action in all 19 games on the year. DoRemus and Pierce both chipped in with significant offensive production, with ten and ei
ght goals respectively. The Lions ran a tandem of Amber Ramoz and Stacey McDaniel in goal, giving both almost equal playing time. The two combined for 108 saves and 12 shutouts for a 0.95 GAA and .855 save percentage.
