LSC Runner-Up
The Lions hit a record of 12-8-3 this year, making twelve years in a row that the program had achieved a winning record since the inception of women's soccer at A&M-Commerce. After a slow 2-4-1 start to the year, the Lions rallied to go 8-3-2 through the second half of the regular season. In the LSC Tournament, the Lions blew through the first two rounds against Eastern New Mexico (4-1) and West Texas A&M (2-1) to reach the championship game. Unfortunately, they couldn't crack the defense of Central Oklah
oma, dropping 1-0.
Four Lions drew a start in all 23 games of the season: Bailey Geels, Melissa DoRemus, Jessica Pierce and Amber Ramoz. Geels (7g, 5a; 19p) and DoRemus (7g, 4a; 18p) were the main cogs of the Lions offense, while Celia Cross was the team's main facilitator with six assists. Amber Ramoz reprised her role in goal with 106 saves and 7 shutouts for a 0.96 GAA and .822 save percentage in 2155 minutes.
