Southwest Texas --> Texas State
After a promising 82/82 campaign, ETSU came back to Earth with a 5-15 overall record, going 3-9 against conference opponents. The Lions' most dominant win came against Midwestern State, as East Texas State picked up the 95-75 win. In the LSC Tournament, ETSU fell to Abilene Christian by a score of 82-73. ACU would go on to split the LSC Championship with Southwest Texas.
Ocie Taylor had yet-another strong campaign for the Lions that year, averaging 19.4 points and 9.8 rebounds per game. Phillippa Brown (14.4 ppg) and Kelly Moore (10.6 ppg) were also big factors on offense, while Melanie Curry (6.6 rpg) was crucial on the glass.
