Head coach: Susie Knause (14th Season) - 109-201 Overall; 10-19 LSC
The Lions dropped the first seven games of their season to kick off another difficult year. However, they snapped that losing skid with a dominant 90-40 victory over Cooke County Junior College. The Lions would end the year 3-7 in conference and 6-15 overall, once again making it to the LSC Tournament where they'd once again fall in the first round, this time 95-71 to Angelo State. Abilene Christian would go on to capture the LSC Championship, their third consecutive title.
The ETSU offense ran through Robbie Shipp, who averaged 24.8 points and 5.6 rebounds on 53% shooting from the field and 77% from the line. Meshell Graham meanwhile was the leader on the glass with 8.9 rpg, chipping in 13.4 ppg. Melanie Curry was a strong contributor as well with 6.9 rebounds per game.
The 84/85 season was the 14th and final year for head coach Susie Knause, who had shaped the program from its inception in 71/72. She finished her ETSU career with a 109-201 overall record and a 10-19 record against LSC Opponents.
