Head Coach: Beth Palmer (First Season) - 11-16 Overall; 5-11 LSC

Game 3-4: St. Mary's Classic
Game 5-6: Susie Knause Classic

With Jim Coen exiting the scene after one year at the head of the program, East Texas State employed the services of Beth Palmer to try her hand as head coach. The Lions got out to an uncharacteristically strong start, going 5-4 through the 1990 year, and getting to 10-8 at the end of January. Unfortunately, February's slate of games proved to be a buzzsaw, where the Lions won only one of their final nine games. They would finish 11-16 overall and 5-11 against LSC opponents. ETSU would qualify for the LS
C Tournament, only to get rolled over by West Texas State by a score of 126-38. The Lady Buffs would go on to pick up their fifth straight LSC Championship.

Despite missing eight games, Charlotte Jones was the leading scorer for the Lions, averaging 20.1 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. Kim Cooper was the teams top facilitator with 115 assists on the season. Stacy Norrell was the leader in both steals (54) and blocks (24), while her sister Sandy was the top rebounder with 8.3 rpg. Both sisters, along with Froncella Reece, managed to average double-digit scoring over the course of the season.
