Head coach: Beth Palmer (Third Season) - 32-51 Overall; 19-25 LSC
12/12 - Bolivar, Missouri
12/21 - Fort Worth, Texas
03/04+03/05 - Abilene, Texas
After another rough start to the season (2-9 through the first 11 games), the Lions really turned things around for conference play, particularly the last five games of the regular season, which were all wins for ETSU. Carrying a 9-5 record against LSC opponents into the LSC Tournament, East Texas State drew Cameron in the opening round, beating them 80-78 in overtime to advance to the second round for the second consecutive year. Once again however, that's as far as they'd make it, with Eastern New Mexic
o prevailing by a score of 98-84. The Lions would finish the year with a 13-15 overall record, and Abilene Christian would go on to claim the LSC Championship.
Andrea Hines was a force for the Lions, becoming just the second player in school-history to net First Team All-LSC honors after averaging 17.6 points per game. Stacy Norrell was the team?s best rebounder (6.7 RPG), best shot-blocker (30) and second-best scorer (12.1 ppg), while sharing the lead with Michelle Simmons for most steals with 65. Cherie Washington stepped up as the team's top distributor with 149 assists on the year.
