Head Coach: Denny Downing (Third Season) - 25-57 Overall; 13-29 LSC
T-Fourth in South

The 04/05 season was a year of a lot of ups and downs for the Lions. After starting off 3-1, the Lions dropped four games in a row before winning their next three. They then dropped four more games, went 2-2 in their next four games, and then won four in a row. Unfortunately, the year would end on a sour note, with A&M-Commerce losing their final five contests. They would qualify for the LSC Tournament with a 7-7 record against LSC schools, but fell in the first round 78-56 to Northeastern State. A&M-Comm
erce finished the year with a 12-16 overall record, while Angelo State would claim their second LSC Championship in a row.

Katedria Mosley made history for the Lions by becoming the first to win LSC Freshman of the year, scoring the third-most points for the Lions with 14.0 ppg. Hazel Woods was the top scorer with 16.6 ppg, while Jennifer McCord was the team's best passer with 136 assists. Portia Mitchell led the Lions in rebounds (9.6 RPG) and blocks (66), and Althea Byfield rounded things out with the team-lead in steals with 79.
