Head Coach: Jason Burton Second Year); 30-27 Overall, 16-16 in LSC
Sixth in LSC

In his second season as head coach, Jason Burton led the Lions to their first winning season since the days of Denny Downing in 2009. The team played seven of its first 10 games on the road and started the season 4-5 as a result before winning three consecutive games.
Playing on the home court was kind to the Lions during the season, as they went 10-3 at the Field House. Midway through the conference season, the Lions rattled off four-straight wins, their longest winning streak under Burton.
After losing consecutive games to the No. 1 and No. 2 teams in the conference, the Lions finished the season with two home wins to finish the regular season 16-12, including a 78-71 win over Tarleton St. in the final game of the year. The Lions qualified for the sixth seed in the LSC Tournament and drew Tarleton St., losing 78-74 in overtime.
Artaejah Gay led the team averaging 11.4 points and she led the LSC in field goal percentage, shooting 54.3 percent from the field. Princess Davis averaged 10.3 points per game. Shomari Harris averaged 10.4 points per game and led the team with 3.7 assists per game. Five Lions received postseason recognition, including four Honorable Mention All-Conference awards to Gabby Scott, Shomari Harris, Princess Davis and Artaejah Gay. Davis was also named to the All-Conference Defensive Team.
