Tied for third in LSC

For the second time in three seasons and just the third time in program history, the Lions won 20 games during the 2018-19 season. They finished the LSC season with 14 wins, tying their record for most wins. Most importantly, the Lions also qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the second time in program history. After a tumultuous November that had the Lions sitting 3-4, A&M-Commerce found its stride beginning in December. The team defeated A&M-Kingsville by 49, setting a program record for highest margi
n of victory against a DII school. It was the beginning of a seven-game winning streak that put the Lions back on track. After consecutive road losses, the Lions again found success at home, winning three in a row and five of their next six games. The Lions won 9 of their final 12 games of the regular season. Tied for third in the LSC standings, A&M-Commerce drew Eastern New Mexico in the first round of the LSC Tournament and won 77-70 before falling once again to WT in the semifinal round. The Lions were
the seventh seed in the Regional Rankings, making their first NCAA Tournament since 2007 and their second ever. The Lions traveled to face Colorado Mesa, falling by 10. During the season, Princess Davis became the school's all-time leader in minutes played and games played and finished second in program history in assists. She was a Second Team All-LSC selection while Chania Wright was named Third Team All-LSC.
